Enjoy a free annual event!
Every February, the Annual Winter Range is conducted at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Northwest Phoenix. This 3-day event is free, except for a $5 parking fee per car.
One of the best events is the mounted shooting competitions. Fast draw, silhouettes, and other competitions are also held with Old West firearms (muzzleloaders, six-shooters, etc.). Competitors and the general public enjoy wearing period-appropriate attire. Merchandise vendors (cowboy hats, leather holsters, belts, chaps, corsettes, parasols, dutch ovens, western jewelry, etc.), western music and good food are available, and everyone young and old has a great outing!
