A Hawaiian Cruise to Always Remember

A Hawaiian Cruise to Always Remember

Photos of the enchanting and beautiful tropical Islands.

Kauai is the most beautiful natural island in the Hawaiian chain. Its ocean scapes are spectacular. Movies and films have featured its bays, beaches and mountain peaks.

Our cruise ship, the "Pride of America," provided many, fun and interesting things to do (karaoke, swimming, evening shows) while onboard.

Friends enjoying the deck. Quite the life...

What would a visit to Hawaii be without hula dancers and a luau?

Waterfalls abound around the island of Kauai, and lush green scenery soothes the visitor. This is Opaekaa Falls.

This relaxing scene on Hilo was repeated many times. Tours can be chartered to Volcano National Park, the observatory, the Thurston Lava Tube, and the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory.

No visit would be complete without visiting infamous Pearl Harbor, and the USS Arizona memorial where World War II began! December 7, 1941 marked Japan's attack, and of the 1,514 crewmen on the Arizona, 1,177 perished!

Visitors take a ride to the floating memorial in honor of the USS Arizona entombed dead. This battleship enjoyed a proud and distinguished 25-year naval career.

Oil still leaks from the sunken USS Arizona. Some of the men who survivied that fateful day, later had their families return their ashes to this spot to rest in peace along with their shipmen.

Our last evening was spent in Honolulu, where we shopped for souvenirs in the evening, and enjoyed a delicious steak dinner at the Hula Grill, overlooking Waikiki Beach.

Our last day in Honolulu with friends was priceless!

We visited many beautiful tropical sites in Honolulu, Hilo, Maui, Kona, and Kauai. A group of friends made this cruise even more memorable!
